The Story

In a film, the extra is part of the scene, but rarely remembered. In the vast world of big brands and industrial production, the small producer is often treated the same way: as someone who "appears", but doesn't count. And that is how this story began — from nothing, with empty hands and a dream as heavy as a barrel. Producing wine in the Azores is an act of resistance. It means climbing steep terrain, fighting the climate and humidity, working on irregular volcanic ground, against a nature that always seems to push the stone back down. Like Sisyphus, at every step he starts again. At every summit reached, the effort falls once more. And even when the goal seems unattainable, when the path is hard and his work is often knocked down by others, he learns to find meaning in the journey itself. Because repetition does not destroy — it strengthens. And in the midst of that struggle, the walk becomes more important than the destination. This wine is born from an "extra" who decided not to be just part of the scenery. He chose to be the protagonist of his own path — even when the world only wants him in passing — and what seems like an endless task becomes the very reason to exist.
